Happy 50th Anniversary
Over the past 50 years, the Association has been proud to have led or been involved in initiatives that further strengthen and ensure the sustainability of the aerosol industry in Australia and at large.
One of these achievements was the October 2011 establishment of the Asian Aerosol Federation (AAF), representing Australia, China, India, Japan, Thailand and New Zealand.
Australia was pleased to be chosen to fill the Presidency and provide the Secretariat for the AAF’s first term (2011-2014), and is working hard to set firm foundations for this regional organisation. Read more on the Association’s ‘Asian Future’ strategy.
"The AAF aims to promote the growth of a prosperous, safe and environmentally responsible aerosol industry across the region. It will facilitate enhanced communication and co-operation in the aerosol industry by sharing information on technology, legislations and regulations; develop harmonized standards; promote positive publicity about aerosols; and cooperate with other aerosol associations and federations around the world."
Lindsay Showyin, AAF President (and Immediate Past-President of the Aerosol Association of Australia).
One of the Association’s achievements for the AAF is the organisation of the Asia-Pacific aerosol event – aerosolsydney2014 (from 1-4 April 2014) – the highlights of which are an Aerosol Technology Foundation Course and factory tours (1-2 April), an Aerosol Industry Forum: ‘Towards a Sustainable Future’, and Aerosol Awards Gala Dinner (both 3 April).
